Glass partitions do improve visual connection, which may facilitate some types of collaboration, but they do not create collaboration in an organisation that is not already collaborative. Plasterboard partitions do reduce noise transmission, which can support concentration, but they do not solve productivity problems that are rooted in management practices, workflow design, or workload distribution.
